Lab Magnet

RM200D Residual Field Meter is portable instrument which measures the residual magnetisum in demagnetised iorn and steel objects. The unit can be operated on 9V battery as well as on external 9V DC regulated source. It is internally calibrated and it measures fields from 0.1 gauss to 200 gauss full scale.

The Hall Probe
The Hall probe is made up of a highly pure Gallium Arsanide crystal. It is mounted on a non-magnetic substrate of 50mm(l) x 5mm(b) x 1mm(t) and is located at the front edge. It is encased in a pen type aluminum holder. Do not use the probe for temperature above 60 degree C. When not in use, the probe is to be capped.

The device utilises a three-axis EMF measurement to determine the radiation levels around power lines, TV sets, computer monitors, video machinery, and similar devices. Accuracy: ± (4 % + 3 d) at 20 micro Tesla/200 milli Gauss range.

These reference magnets are made of AL-Ni-Co permanent magnets and are used to calibrate Hall effect gauss meters. They are stabilized during production to guard against irreversible losses resulting from temperature changes and external magnetic fields. They are suitable for transverse Hall Probes of dimensions 10 x 5 x 2 mm and are calibrated with primary standards .

These magnets are available with the following flux densities.

• For transverse Hall Probes : 1, 3, 5 Kilogauss nominal value
• For Axial Hall Probes : 1 Kilogauss

Accuracy:

• Within +5% of the nominal value. Individual magnet is designated with the actual flux density within + 1% at 25*C

Magnetic Stability:

• Magnets will not be permanently affected by stray fields below 150 Gauss
